On my most recent trip to costco I picked up my normal items: chicken, lettuce, eggs, and of course aidell's sausages. I absolutely love the chicken and apple flavor. And then I stumbled upon two new gluten free items. The first is a snack food: Bare Fruit Apple Chips. They are so delicious! With the crunch of chip and the flavor of an apple, these are a great healthy snack. Only $4.99 for a 14 oz bag. I like making dried apple slices in my dehraytor but when apples are not in season and you don't have the time to slice your own, these are a great find.
The second was a convenience items: pulled pork. I was planning on making pulled pork sandwiches and this product saved me the trouble of buying the right cut of pork and cooking it in the crockpot. The only ingredients are cooked pork, cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and spices, with "gluten free" printed right below. I thought this product was pretty cool because you can add our own sauce. This would be great for a BBQ or pool party, as you could bring the meat with you and know there will definitely be a safe, gluten free protein available. Dump the meat with some sauce in a crockpot and people will think you've done alot of work.
Sadly not all costco's carry the same products, but keep your eyes open, as you never know when or where you'll find something labeled gluten free.

These both sound great. I was thinking the pulled pork would be good for the family reunion. I will look for it at our costco. I also discovered something new....Krinkle Sticks potato snacks by a company called Lesser Evil. They are baked , all natural, cholestrol free and GLUTEN FREE...says so on the front of the package. The only question for me was the maltodextrin in it. But those of you who don't have corn problems...yum yum what fun. They are in the shapes of little squiggles.Oh, and no trans fat too.
