Whole Foods Wonderment

I have a bum hip. Whole foods is about a 20 minutes drive from my house, so you know things are getting bad when a 20 minute drive is painful and when I reach my destination I have to slowly unfold myself when I get out of the car. The trip today was worth it though, as I got amazing service. I was standing on the chip aisle and discovered a gluten free nacho cheese dip but it said it was SPICY and you never know how spicy they mean, so I asked a clerk if they had a non-SPICY variety, which they didn't. So I debated and the clerk offered to open it and let me try it, and I was in complete astonishment. He grabbed a bag of tortilla chips, sliced it open with a box cutter, popped off the top of the dip and let the tasting commence! I only had one small taste but it was good enough for me to buy, (a new, sealed jar of course :-) ) After I eat some more during holiday snacky, I'll review the actual product. Just had to share my shopping shock.

Wow! That is incredible. You know though, people are not shopping like crazy and they are trying to do what ever it takes to make a sale. Shoppers are waiting for the sales. I went to the mall the other day....(something I hate to do) and there I was virtually almost all by myself. I walked through Sears and I could get more than enough help (as if I banged a gong). They wanted me to buy a washing machine, would you like perfume,we have bags for sale...except for the woman's department where they totally ignored me and went on dusting. Of course that's where I had to be. So,kudos for Whole Foods for stepping up to the plate to make that sale. Look at the "word of mouth" they are getting! That's what makes people BUY PRODUCTS...WORD OF MOUTH TESTIMONIALS.
