Gluten Free near South Lake Tahoe

If you're in the South Lake Tahoe area and gluten free "you are in luck at Freshies! You can have everything on the menu except the ribs and kalua pork. We use Tamari soy sauce in all other dishes and even use rice flour exclusively in our fryers."


Straight from their website, they sound like they're all about accommodating the health aware:

  • House made desserts and pasta - all our recipes are made fresh on the premises except tortillas and bread (Truckee Sourdough Co.)

  • Organic Rice Bran Oil - used in all dressings and in our fryers. It is the world's healthiest edible oil. It contains vitamins, antioxidants and is trans fat free. It is light in flavor but also foods made with it absorb 20% less oil. It is hypoallergenic and has the best balance of saturated, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats as recommended by the American Heart Association and the World Health Organization
I'm told by a local that their fish tacos are delicious, and I hope to find out for myself this spring or summer.
