WholeSoy Yogurt

This morning for breakfast I had my first soy yogurt. I don't have to be dairy free, but sometimes I choose to be, at least for everything else other than cheese. When it comes to alternative milk I'm true to Blue Diamond's Almond Breeze; the Vanilla especially. And I'm super excited that Gluten Free Specialty, just started carrying the 64 oz containers. There is a pretty decent selection of other milk alternatives: soy milk, hemp milk, rice milk, and coconut milk. Some of them are ok, but I love Almond Breeze. I drink that stuff more than I drank regular milk as a kid. I never really did have a deep craving for regular milk as a kid, so then maybe my body was trying to tell me something. I just wish they made the chocolate variety in the 64 oz size, and to my knowledge there is not yet an alternative strawberry milk option, which someone really needs to come out with.

And every now and then I crave yogurt, so today I tried out Whole Soy Strawberry Yogurt, which is made with organic soy milk. The consistency of the yogurt seemed the same as regular yogurt, although I did taste the soy part on the back end, but it wasn't bothersome enough for me to stop eating it. There were about 160 calories in 8oz so the calorie count was on the high end for me, but since I don't eat it every day I guess that's alright. In any case, strawberry and blueberry are usually my favorite flavors of yogurt, and for strawberry yogurt I would give this an 8 out of 10.

I have tried this product and while ok, I still prefer Silk Soy Yogurt because of the same reasons you said. And...they are cheaper.

I've never been able to stomach the soy yogurt, and sheep's milk yougurt tastes like . . .sheep's milk. Try the So Delicious coconut milk yogurt; berry flavors are the best. They are also making some outstanding coconut-milk ice cream---including chocolate dipped bars!!
