Last night I strolled down L street in downtown Sacramento and went into the community center theater to see STOMP. We entered the hallway and went down the stairs, and more stairs, and then more stairs, and then went in the double doors, and there are seats were: in the orchestra pit, dead center. It was the closest I have ever sat for any live performance I've been to. The performance was very impressive, with a fun comedic touch. It was nice to see that two girls who would probably look like average chics on the street were holding their own against the guys when using some of the heavy hardware they came out on stage with. There were paint pals flying, folding chairs being tossed, dish washing while wearing the kitchen sink around their necks, drumming on inner tubes strapped to their waists, and so much more. I loved it all, but my favorite mini-performance was when they came out with newspapers, and one guy was trying to read/study, and the other were making music by coughing, paper rustling, and laughing. One of the guys was making paper airplanes and puppets, etc. It was the fastest two hours ever; well worth the money.
If you have kids that like to bang on pots and pans anything else in the house, let them. It's cheap entertainment, and hey, someday they could be part of the STOMP crew.

This sounds fun! Glad you enjoyed it. It was big here in San Diego too.
So fun huh! I saw it when it was here 10 years ago and fell in love with it! It is so creative, fun, and unique! Glad to hear that you liked it!
Debbie thanks so much for the invite, unfortunately I have to work that day (I don't all holiday off) so I won't be able to come.
Also, funny side note. I think your fiance works in my building. I work in Rancho Cordova at EDS. I could swear I walked right past him in our break room today. I was going to say hi, but I didn't think he'd recognize me. Small world!
