Baby in Blue

Today I attended my first baby shower ever. The shower was for a friend who is having her second son in the next month. She's an awesome mom already and I am looking forward to meeting her new little one.

For me personally "baby" is like an island I like to visit, but not a final destination; not for me anyway. The tiny shoes are adorable, and sure kids do some cute stuff, but shall we say I lack the internal clock that ticks for most females. Some women are meant to be mothers and others are not. That's my take on it.

Today I visited the island of "baby" and had a good old time. I was slightly out of place considering I was one of the few without any children, surrounded by four pregnant women. Yet, we still had a lot of laughs, as the baby shower games were very entertaining. Do you know how long the gestation period of a horse or a mouse is without looking it up?

And my friend even tried to make sure there was gluten free food available. She is so cute and considerate. I'm super glad we're friends.

Okay, totally crying right now...can I claim pregnancy hormones as the culprit? You are super sweet and I am so so glad that you were able to make it! Had I known that this was your first shower I would have made you do the shower dance and wear the honorary hat! j/k! I am sorry again about the food! After you left my Mom felt so bad. She said, "Why didn't you tell me when she got here, I would have whipped her up a wonderful omelet!" I am so glad that you had fun!

Don't worry about the food, You're too nice. Besides if I were hungry I would have spoken up. :-)
