Pepperoni Pizza Casserole

My pizza bread sticks from earlier inspired me to make a pizza-like casserole for dinner. Mike and I give it two thumbs up, if you can have dairy, of course. Unlike lasagna, I did not find that the hot, melted cheese held the dish together, so it's appearance wasn't great once removed from the pan, but all the flavors melded together nicely. I would certainly make this again.

Ingredients:
10 oz uncooked rotini pasta
3 Aidell's sausages
12 oz pasta sauce
12 oz cottage cheese
1 can sliced black olives
12 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
Hormel pepperoni

Directions:
1 Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2 Lightly grease a medium casserole dish.
3 Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.
4 Place pasta in the pot, cook for 8 to 10 minutes, until al dente, and drain.
5 In the prepared casserole dish, mix the cooked pasta, sausage, and pasta sauce.
6 In a bowl, mix the cottage cheese, olives, and mozzarella cheese.
7 Spoon the cheese mixture over the sausage and pasta mixture.
8 Top with pepperoni slices.
9 Bake 25-30 minutes uncovered in the preheated oven, until bubbly and lightly browned.
