Organic Bistro Frozen Meals

Organic Bistro frozen meals come in some very exciting combo, like Jamaican Shrimp Cakes, Pasta Puttanesca, and Wild Salmon & Cranberry Pilaf, to name a few. I was first introduced to them at the 2007 Celiac conference in Tuscon, AZ and was given all these coupons to go out and buy them. Nearly a year has passed by and I have finally gotten to trying them, and well, I was not impressed, in fact I was slightly disappointed.

The Organic Bistro line is supposed to be tasty, healthy frozen meals, that happen to also be gluten free, but even as a someone on a gluten free diet, and having limited selections, I wouldn't waste any more money on this brand. I've had two meals, the Shrimp Cakes, and Pescado Veracruz, and I did not finish either. The shrimp cakes were mushy and flavorless, and the rice of both meals was just mush. At $5.00+ per meal, I say save your money and just make sure you have leftovers in the fridge if you're looking for a fast meal.
